Eight frames from Jewish study halls. Rows of wooden lecterns, large open volumes, men and boys bent over pages. I worked from doorways, through glass panes and window bars, with a long lens, staying far enough back that nobody had to notice me. Two frames are at night, lit by a case of small flames.
