Winter

This is winter in two countries. In Iceland, ice stranded on black sand while the surf keeps coming in, and icebergs on a flat gray lagoon. In Lapland, spruce forests carrying more snow than they look able to hold, and a river running open between drifts. People turn up in three frames, all of them small or facing away.
